In the state of New Jersey, is it legal to place my son’s forward facing child safety seat in the front seat?
I live in the state of New Jersey and I would like to place the child safety seat in the front seat.
Is this legal?
Thank You

I don’t think that is legal in any state. All children under the age of 12 (I think) must be in the back seat. There may be exceptions if you have truck with no back seat, but I’m not sure about that.

I don’t think this is legal anywhere. I think the measurements for sitting in the front seat are 5′ and 100lbs or something like that.
But think about it, this is your young child.

it is not legal in the front seat anywhere in the us as far as i know…don’t do it, it can make it very easy for a child to die in a accident there is a reason they have them in the back seat

No its not. Why would you want to put the car seat in the front? If you got into an accident and the airbag was deployed, your baby would probably die. The airbag can crush adult bones, think about the force it would do to a child. The safest place to put any child is the backseat.

don’t know what the laws there are, but use common sense. do you want your child to get killed by an airbag? cuz it’s pretty likely. if you love your child you keep them safe.
