My mother in law bought this car seat …

My mother in law bought this car seat for her car and tried to get us to take our Graco back. The seat has only been used for a year now. It was installed and the EPS foam broke way from the tabs. My mother in law called Evenflo and one of the people there stated it was okay if the foam had broken way and to still use it. I thought wait a minute this is not safe. My wife called then and they stated they would send the EPS foam out. Well, I changed it and the thing happen again. I hate this car seat, the cup holder is so flimsy it broke to. I am glad we have the Graco, and I will stay with Graco. Evenflo, makes a piece a junk car seat and compromises safety as well. Stay from this product, go with Graco!!

  • This seat has a bulky piece of material sawed right in by the lower back and it's leaves marks on my daughter's back, it's not very comfortable... I would probably not buy this product again....

  • We needed another car seat and didn't want to spend another $250-300 on a Britax Decathalon. A friend liked their Evenflo Triumph, so I thought why not. Big mistake!!! The LATCH system is very hard to install and uninstall. The 5 pt harness is confusing with extra straps and getting the LATCH system tight enough so that it can't move is impossible. The seat always moves even just a little. The recline lever is a work out and yes I did take the kid out before trying to pull the recline lever. This car seat is just a piece of junk. Now I understand how someone can not have a car seat properly installed. I ended up buying a lower priced Britax (the Roundabout) and am very happy with it. I honestly don't understand how people have given this car seat more than one star. They've never had a Britax that's for sure.

  • Car seat tethers are not long enough to hook up to car anchors. Company provides extenders if you pay for it. Won't fit a Mazda 5 or GMC Acadia.

  • We bought this car seat and loved it for a number of years. We then checked it on an airplane and the styrofoam padding was shredded after our four hour flight. I would not recommend this car seat if you do any air travel.

  • did governor janet napalatano cut funding in arizona for child safety seats?
Not from what I have read but she is not very well liked from the other articles that I have read.

What is the government doing funding child safety seats? For $30, they'll last a million years. It's not exactly hard to get one.

Nope. But she IS considering cutting Funding for the Republican Legislature! :)
  • Travel systems, car seats, and baby strollers?
I absolutely love our Graco travel system! We used the car seat up until she was 7 1/2 months and have used the stroller since birth and use it a lot more often than I ever thought that we would! :-)
  • Travel systems, car seats, and baby strollers?
I used a travel system for both my kids and would recommend it. The seat is usually good up to 25lbs (which lasted to my kiddo's 1st bday). They all come with a base for your car which makes it easy to take out of the car and put in. They are nice because when the baby is still too small for the stroller, the car seat is made to snap on the top of the stoller facing backwards. I got my last travel system on sale for $100 at Target just because they were getting the next year models and this one was from the current year. So, shop around and you might get a good deal. You could easily spend $90 on a seat alone ! (also, if you have more than one car, or have grandparents that will be picking up the baby, you can purchase additional bases for other cars sometimes at the store where you bought the system or on line) Good luck!
