I was very excited to receive this car seat and base for my baby shower. Unfortunately the seat was HUGE and was unable to fit in my car nor my husbands. We were very disappointed and had to return it. If you can find it in a store and test it out for size I would recommend that before purchasing to avoid disappointment and the return shipping fees. We ended up going with Chicco KeyFit 30 which hopefully is just as safe and I am very happy with so far.

- We bought this carrier to replace our Graco that we used for our other children. We love the fact that it goes up to 30 lbs and is very safe. Our baby fell asleep within the first minute he was placed in it. We love the insert for newborns and how easy it is to adjust the straps. Our only complaint is that the canopy did not stay up. I called for a replacement part and it seemed to fix the problem. I had also called for another user manual and it took 2 months to arrive.
Rating: 4 / 5 - I love this seat its big yes but worth it i have small babies and premature to have a car seat that starts at 4 lbs and has a small baby foam insert under the padding then above it give great peace of mind no risk to having the head support cover the babies head. I have two other britax car seats for my other two girls and i wouldnt change them for the world. we dont have a lot of money but to me its worth saving up for since they can use it till they can go front faceing unlike most carriers u have to get a new one at 6 months. we can fit all three carseats into out back seat its a squeeze but do able just have to be willing to spend the time to do it. And u cant go wrong with the install its easy and i had no trouble finding the booklet for it took me all of 30 secs and if u need to put in the small baby foam u cant miss it. U get what u pay for with a britax and i think to much more cow might have been a little to busy for a new baby. I think its just about the cutest carseat i have ever seen and i'm sure the baby will love it and i cant wait to get the matching stroller

The package FINALLY arrived and I couldn't wait to look at it. My husband pulled it out and I said, "oh my god". This seat was absolutely the biggest infant seat I have ever seen. I knew instantly that the first thing we had to do was see if it fit in the car. NO, was the answer to that. Not in our Mazda3 and NOT in our VOLVO V70 station wagon! I was shocked, the Volvo is not exactly a small car. It would barely fit if I put it in the middle seat, but given my small stature and the fact that there is already a Marathon back there, there's no way but on the side. THERE IS NO WAY THIS CAR SEAT WAS GOING TO FIT. It is really, really large, and the base hangs significantly over the seat. Additionally, it isn't exactly light either.
A second disappointment came when I tried to affix it to my Maclaren Easy Traveler, to which it also should be adaptable. Nope. We could basically get it to 'sit' on the frame, totally unstably, and the strap barely made up any stability and I would deem the compatibility unsafe.
So dually disappointed in this seat, which I believe would otherwise be fabulous. I can't understand why it is so LARGE.

Besides appreciation of the ergonomic handle and durable fabric, we gave the Britax Chaperone Carrier five stars for its overall design, and most importantly, its safety features. In fact, few carriers on the market offer such protection.Although not 100% resistant to damage in accidents, the impact guard is superb to keep head, neck, and spine aligned, which would limit injury as described. The other favorable features are the anti-rebound bar that stabilizes and minimizes rotational forces associated with front and rear collisions. Plus, for commutes in sunny Hawaii, we appreciate the sizable canopy to shield UV rays, wind, or rain from child.

Not from what I have read but she is not very well liked from the other articles that I have read. - did governor janet napalatano cut funding in arizona for child safety seats?
What is the government doing funding child safety seats? For $30, they'll last a million years. It's not exactly hard to get one. - did governor janet napalatano cut funding in arizona for child safety seats?
Nope. But she IS considering cutting Funding for the Republican Legislature!
- Travel systems, car seats, and baby strollers?
I absolutely love our Graco travel system! We used the car seat up until she was 7 1/2 months and have used the stroller since birth and use it a lot more often than I ever thought that we would!
- Travel systems, car seats, and baby strollers?
I used a travel system for both my kids and would recommend it. The seat is usually good up to 25lbs (which lasted to my kiddo's 1st bday). They all come with a base for your car which makes it easy to take out of the car and put in. They are nice because when the baby is still too small for the stroller, the car seat is made to snap on the top of the stoller facing backwards. I got my last travel system on sale for $100 at Target just because they were getting the next year models and this one was from the current year. So, shop around and you might get a good deal. You could easily spend $90 on a seat alone ! (also, if you have more than one car, or have grandparents that will be picking up the baby, you can purchase additional bases for other cars sometimes at the store where you bought the system or on line) Good luck!
