evenflo recall?!?!?
How do I know what model my infant car seat is? I bought the Evenflo Aura Safari travel system.....and I just saw this on the website "Evenflo today announced it is implementing a voluntary safety recall of its Discovery Infant Car Seat Models 390, 391, 534, 552"
....how do i know if mine is a discovry or not?

It should have the model number on the sticker on the back of it. They are saying to continue to use the carseat until they send you an attachment part.

I would contact them on their website and write an e-mail with all known info!! If you have been recalled please e-mail me on here b/c I just bought the same brand /model. I’m due in 7/6/08 so please help a new mommy out!! Thanks

Description: The recall involves Evenflo Embrace⢠Infant Car Seat/Carriers made before April 8, 2006. The recalled car seat/carriers have model numbers beginning with 317, 320, 397, 398, 540, 548, 549, 550, 556, 597, 598 or 599. The model number and production date information can be found on a white label on the bottom of the carrier and on the top of the convenience base. Models beginning with “5″ are units sold with the travel system (compatible stroller). “Evenflo” is on the carrying handle and car seat base. Embrace⢠infant car seat/carriers made on or after April 8, 2006 are not included in this recall.

Aura Safaris are not Discovery. It is safe although there are a lot of people complaining about them online.
I thought you were 20 and not thinking about having a baby for 5 years – why do you have a car seat?
