does anyone know if the Eddie Bauer convertible 3-in-1 car seat is FAA approved?
we have never travelled with a car seat on the plane before. our daughter will just have turned 1 a few days before we fly. she is a restless little one. we currently have her booked as on our lap but we are thinking on booking a seat for her now and taking the car seat.
is it worth the hassle of lugging the car seat around the airport, etc. we have a 3 yr old travelling also and just 2 sets of hands 
any suggestions or experiences would help. thanks!

Eddie Bauer Car Seat straps?
I received an eddie bauer car seat and stroller combo for my baby shower. I have lost the manual and need to adjust the straps. Seemed simple enough but seems as though there is not enough "strap"? I know how to give the baby more slack with the straps by pushing the button but when I moved the straps up a notch for my 9 week old it seems as though there is no more slack...? where did the extra slack go? Im confused. Any help on the matter would be appreciated I MUST have done something wrong just can't figure out what! GRRRR Car seats should not be this hard to figure out. Thanks in advance!
I tried to download the manual and it said unavailiable for the model and manufactured date of my car seat... so no luck there.

Consequence:
IF THE WEBBING IS EXPOSED TO A SIGNIFICANT AMOUNT OF ABRASION, IT COULD DEGRADE. IF THE WEBBING DEGRADES MORE THAN PERMITTED BY THE STANDARD, IT MAY NOT PROVIDE SUFFICIENT PROTECTION TO A CHILD IN A CRASH, INCREASING THE RISK OF INJURY TO THE CHILD.
Remedy:
DJG'S PETITION FOR RELIEF FROM REMEDY BASED ON ITS BELIEF THAT THE NONCOMPLIANCE WAS INCONSEQUENTIAL TO MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY WAS DENIED BY NHTSA ON JANUARY 5, 2010.
