2007 Honda CR-V Review
Compact Recreational Vehicle. This is the name given the acronym CR-V one of the most popular Honda launches. And, in fact, compact and fun to drive. During the last decade, the Honda CR-V has proven to be a reliable family car: affordable, spacious, without appearing too large, and best of all, safe. The new 2007 model, however, is taking these features to new lengths.
The CR-V 2007 is slightly wider and lower than its predecessor, which gives an extra touch of stability in the corners and also shorter, mainly because the spare wheel is no longer attached to the rear, as in the previous two generations.
The safety car is included in the impressive structure of the Advanced Compatibility Engineering body in the front end, a total of six airbags (dual-stage, dual-threshold front airbags, front side airbags with passenger-side system occupant position detection, side curtain airbags with rollover sensor), active head restraints on front seats, stability control system, ABS, break assist, Tire Pressure Monitoring System. This model has received a rating of five stars for front and side impact U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
This functionality oriented crossover SUV has four doors and five seats, including a drum folding rear seat that can be easily adjusted to hold two child seats, so the family always spending. All seats are equipped with three-point belts.
The 166-hp, 2. 4-liter 16-valve DOHC i-VTEC 4-cylinder cylinder (10 hp more than the 2006 model), five-speed automatic transmission, MacPherson strut front suspension handles, the traction unit that improves real-time in the 4 wheels, the Drive-by-wire throttle system, are all features that add up to ensure a greater sense of stability, while providing at the same time, an incredible driving experience.
As we have grown accustomed Honda, the CR-V 2007 allows for the reduction of emissions, fuel economy and reduced noise thanks to its schedule of brands and electronically controlled variable valve lift, i-VTEC, and its aerodynamic design.
Customers can choose from three models: LX, EX and EX-L. For those seeking a more elegant look, the EX-L is the best option, thanks to its leather trimmed seats and optional navigation system equipped with a video camera rear view. The model comes in 10 colors, from white taffeta to Nighthawk Black Pearl, to the room of any driver's preferences and personality.
Although its jurisdiction, such as the Toyota RAV4, Mazda CX-7 or the Hyundai Tucson, may offer more space, more driving experience or lower prices, Honda CR-V, especially the 2007 model, remains a top choice of customers searching for all these features and additional security guarantees.
2007 Hyundai Santa Fe Review
The verdicts are: the completely redesigned 2007 version of the Hyundai Santa Fe is bigger and better than previous models, boasting more power, more legroom, a more sophisticated style and elegant interior design that reflects a keen eye to detail.
The Hyundai Santa Fe is considered a "crossover SUV" because it is built with unibody construction of a car instead of the traditional construction of body-on frame of a normal truck. However, it is comparable to any SUV out there in terms of practical, everyday use.
The 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe blends naturally into the suburbs as opposed to last year's model, what kind of stood out like a sore thumb. It is also larger and can now accommodate up to seven passengers, especially with its third row of seats, brand new. In previous entries, the third row is a unique feature of minivans and larger SUVs, but not this year as manufacturers have figured out how to install a third row of small SUVs.
And this year, Santa Fe also offers better fuel economy and energy, if it is the GLS, SE or Limited ornaments. All Santa Fe models offer safety features like six airbags, active front headrests, electronic stability control (ESC) with traction control (TCS), an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with brake assist and electronic distribution braking force (EBD) and the government mandated Tire Pressure (TPMS). During the year, Hyundai will also equip all Santa Fe models with standard XM satellite radio and optional Bluetooth hands-free telematics and an optional navigation system will be available sometime in 2007.
The Santa Fe GLS has a 185-horsepower 2. 7-liter V6 engine, five-speed manual transmission, 16-inch wheels, a 112-watt sound system with six speakers and MP3 player, a tilt and telescoping steering wheel, heated side mirrors, power windows and door locks , remote keyless entry, and a roof rack. It also offers an option for the transmission Shiftronic four-speed automatic, a power sunroof and heated front seats.
The Santa Fe SE has a 242-horsepower, 3. 3-liter V6 and Shiftronic transmission five-speed automatic, traction, 18-inch wheels, an auto-dimming rearview mirror with compass, fog lights, and secondary audio controls on the steering wheel. There are also options for the power driver's seat with power lumbar support, a power sunroof, heated front seats and an entertainment system for rear seat with a 252 watt stereo system with seven speakers and CD-changer functions / MP3 player as well as an outlet of 115 volts.
The Santa Fe Limited has leather seating surfaces, heated front seats, power driver's seat with power lumbar support, and control of dual-zone automatic temperature with an outside temperature display. Chrome accents on the outer door of the grill and door handles, spoiler and a rear body color, adjust the Limited model, apart from the SE and GLS. There is also an option for a more powerful 605-watt Infinity Logic 7 Surround Sound system with 10 speakers and ability to CD-changer/MP3.
In short, the 2007 Santa Fe is everything a mid-size SUV and needs a more competitive price on that. Competition between the SUV is difficult in terms of power, fuel economy, space and other benefits, but the 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe fares well when going against other SUV on the market.
Ford Explorer 2006 review
I recently tried the new 2006 Ford Explorer Advanced RSC Trail. And I was impressed. I'm going to find a complete list of specifications of this SUV sales in North America more elsewhere on numerous websites, in car magazines, and submit to print and then view mine.
Ford Explorer 2006 is real proof that the company is dispersed on a right track to regain the confidence of Americans in a corroded significantly last 15-20 years, although Explorer, as mentioned above, remains the best-selling through these years of expansion of the U.S. market Japanese cars.
The new Explorer is one of those vehicles that have well-balanced combination of SUV and capabilities of the car. His departure on a highway 100 / 120 km per hour is absolutely smooth and cars "as. In fact I regret while in the passenger seat, this SUV is missing a handle above the window that is standard on all models well-equipped cars. Apart from that it is providing comfort of the car in all dimensions with very good noise protection. Potente almost silent motor, the suspension soft enough, the dashboard is well designed with all the buttons of an appropriate size and rightful place, except perhaps shifter that looks like an on / off switch on a kids electronic toy.
I'm the type of cars, so keep SUV / car comparison I have also discovered that the front passenger of the new Explorer is a bit discriminated against (as in most trucks and cars) compared with the driver in their ability to go in and out of the truck. While driver enjoys "seat back" key feature is when power from the passenger is climbing in his chair with much less ability to comfort. However, both the driver and passengers feel comfortable, even during a long journey. Praising the designers to the dashboard Explorer going to retire a few compliments back while talking about the interior door handles. For me they are too low to be good to grab to open / close the door to a man of average size.
All vehicles today is a receptacle for holding the lid and the Explorer is no exception. But not everyone has a glove compartment and convenient enough big, so our test car is definitely not a winner here.
I like adjustable pedals, is a great option. But it is certain that the driver can adjust the pedal while driving?
Plenty of space in a second premium seats and spacious enough even less comfortable in third. At least you have a choice: to carry six passengers and luggage or 4 cubic feet with the decrease in the back of your Explorer.
For some reason, the new Explorer four-door in its lower part is strongly curved towards the body of the vehicle and it's great and probably gives more rigidity. But if one listens to notice with regret every scratch on your new beast / Body Fitness (choose one!) You can see them (scratches) safely immediately after you take the Explorer off the road for the first time. Scratches easily appear in a bottom of the rear doors to snack between frames of the vehicle and set aside with a clearance of as little in the way, the sand and mud sticking to the doors work as abrasives for all surfaces.
A few years ago that have been tested then new 2001 Explorer with other SUVs in the same class as the Nissan Pathfinder, Jeep Cherokee, Ford Explorer so that it was not much different or worse than other contestants in terms of capabilities off -road. But it was squeaking and creaking in every hole or a serious blow. There is nothing like this in the Explorer 2006.
Year after year the customer demands more and more vehicles and car manufacturers must adapt to these demands to keep pace. Ford became the new Explorer. It's really a big truck.

2007 Dodge Nitro Review
The 2007 Dodge Nitro is a new mid-size SUV monster. Dodge Durango redesigned full-size in 2004 and since then has been planning the Nitro. There are many mid-size SUV out there, and Dodge Nitro wanted the distinctive character, in order to maintain its reputation for bold styling. The result is a vehicle very square, with big fender flares.
The Nitro looks and feels larger than its size, with a high seating position that SUV owners enjoy, and good cabin space. It has a cargo storage system whereby the rear seats and front passenger seat fold totally flat in seconds, in addition, the cargo floor slides rearward over the rear bumper, and accommodates 400 pounds, so that the lifting of heavy objects much simpler.
The Nitro comes in two-wheel drive or four wheel drive, with a choice of V6 engines, one old and one new version. The new 4. 0-liter V6 is better than the previous March. 7-liter, 50 hp more and the fuel economy that only a few miles per gallon less. However, in April. 0-liter engine only comes in the highest R-line and T model, which costs about $ 2,700 more than the most popular SLT, but a five-speed automatic also comes with the R / T, and that transmission is better than the standard four-speed in the SLT.
There are three types of upholstery: cloth, stain repellent fabric and perforated leather. No matter which option the interior, the seats are very comfortable. The cabin is quiet thanks to heavy use of sound deadening material, and visibility from the rear and the front corners of the Nitro is excellent.
For a base price of $ 19,225, Nitro owner gets many safety features that are usually optional on other vehicles such as front and rear side airbags, side curtain airbags, electronic stability program with traction control and assistant braking, and a tire pressure monitor to top it all off.
Alignment Model
The 2007 Dodge Nitro comes in three models, each with a choice of two-wheel drive (2WD) or four-wheel drive (4WD).
There are three models of the new 2007 Dodge Nitro: the SXT in 2WD, 4WD $ 20,735 with part-time), SLT ($ 22.635 and $ 24,145) and R / T and with full time 4WD), all prices plus delivery $ 660.
The SXT ($ 19,225) comes with a 210-horsepower 3. 7-liter V6 and a choice of speed manual transmission or six 4-speed automatic ($ 1,000). The 4WD model ($ 20.735) uses a part-time four-wheel drive system. Standard equipment includes cloth upholstery, air conditioning, remote entry with power windows and locks, power supply of 115 volts, flat folding seat front passenger seat, 60/40 folding rear seat, AM / FM / CD with MP3 and six speakers, traction control and brake assist, slate-colored molded front and fender flares, folding power mirrors, rear window washer / wiper and 16-inch wheels.
The SLT ($ 22.635) and SLT 4WD ($ 24,145) come standard with the car transport. The SLT adds cloth seats stain resistant, power six-way adjustable driver seat, leather steering wheel with audio controls, console, cruise control, heated mirrors, compass, auto-dimming mirror, rear view, implementing vehicle information, tinted windows, body-color front and rear fender flares and alloy wheels of 17 inches.
The R / T ($ 25,310) has a new 4. 0-liter V6 making 260 horsepower, coupled with a five-speed automatic transmission. The R / T 4WD model ($ 26,970) has a full-time four-wheel drive. The R / T comes with a sport suspension with 20-inch wheels and Goodyear Eagle tires. The R / T is equipped like the SLT, but also has Satellite Radio.
Options for all three models include a power sunroof, fog lights, spare wheel, full size, and trailer tow package. Full-time 4WD is an option at half time 4WD SXT and SLT models. Options for the SLT and R / T include leather upholstery, navigation system, remote start, hands-free telephone, luxury sound system with eight speakers and a subwoofer. The optional navigation system features Multimedia Infotainment System, audio, entertainment and communication wrapped into one, along with the voice command and a 20 gigabyte hard drive for storing music and photos. Dodge Nitro Reviews
Walkaround
Dodge advertising makes a big deal about the aesthetics of Nitro, citing his athleticism call. We're not sure. We could call it muscular, but mostly just look square. The exaggerated fender flares are the only rounded parts in the style. Every other angle is square-ish. It looks and feels larger than average size, which some find to be a good thing.
From the front, is undoubtedly Dodge. Focus has that big grille, which looks much better in body color (R / T) chrome (SXT, SLT). The horizontal headlamps, turn signal outages and fog lights are an orderly adjustment in the massive face.
However, no attempt seems as if much was made for the front bumper / fascia be tidy, but has edges on all sides, including a valley that might hold a license plate three feet wide, or perhaps a sticker that says: "I am so Dodge'm in your face!" Under that, there is a wide air intake for power steering cooler, whose thin fins are exposed to flying stones because there is no screen.
Following the example of the faux portholes on the Buick Lucerne, or possibly the tradition of a Mercedes-Benz sports car, there is a trapezoid-shaped insert of black plastic with three chrome ribs, located just in front of mirrors . It is intended to resemble a slot cooling. It is a nice touch, and for a small piece goes a long way toward relaxation as the Nitro block.
In silhouette, with its relatively upright windshield, high beltline and rectangular windows, plus short front overhang, its shape is reminiscent of, say, a '62 Dodge Power Wagon. But from the posterior angle of three quarters, the lines around the rear glass are reminiscent of his older cousin, the Jeep Commander. We like the cleaner black, rather than chrome, around windows.
Our test Nitro R / T was equipped with chrome-clad aluminum wheels 20 inches, and certainly are colorful. The much narrower sidewall on the tires of 20 inches does not seem to offer protection against flats.
Interior Features
The SXT comes in a basic cloth, but the cloth in the SLT and R / T is something called YES Essentials; claims to repel stains, control odors and reduce static electricity. The optional perforated leather with red stitching coal in our test R / T was beautiful. The front seats are very comfortable and supportive, with bolstering excellent.
The steering wheel is a handsome four-spoke, with a big center hub and thick spokes at 9:00 and 3:00 pm, small radii of 5 and 7, the information center buttons are under your thumb large rays. There are three main instruments: speedo in center, tachometer right and fuel and temperature on the left. They are very handsome and legible on all digital information still visible in the sun because the three pods are carefully wrapped. Chrysler has meters and blows right in general, GM out of the water when it comes to attractive style and functionality.
There is good legroom front seat, and feels as if he had even more because the dashboard is narrow, so the cabin feel nothing like that in a minivan. The script also has an insert in the center console, about 6 by 9 inches with grippy rubber on the bottom, and is perfect for, well, things. The glove box is the full width of the passenger side.
Rearview visibility is very good, with only windows there is no attempt swoopy style sheet-metal. And again, because the front fenders have no rise or real shape, it is easy to see the front corners of the vehicle, making parking a relief compared to many vehicles this size.
The square theme continues with the central console and its instruments and buttons for the sound system and temperature control, although nowadays many cars look alike, which is not bad, just almost natural. Everything is clean, easy to operate and easy to understand. We especially like the door handles, an intelligent ergonomic design: they are like a loop and a half, and simply slide three or four fingers against the door inside the handle, fingers facing forward so there is no turning of the wrist, and pull.
Between the seats, along with the gearshift, transfer case, and the emergency brake lever, there are two fixed cupholders and a small recess for change. There is a shallow pan on top of the center console storage bin, and a deep compartment that, as a lady in the press briefing, he said, is large enough to keep your cat, travel road.
But the Nitro really rises to the occasion behind the front seat. No Load "Go function quickly and easily flops the 60/40 rear seats and front passenger seat totally flat. With the tailgate up, vinyl rugs (washable on the SXT) cargo floor slides into the back of 18 inches, along the bumper, saving a new charger. It has a capacity of 400 pounds.
Less than half the cargo floor is a compartment of four inches deep that can store things such as jumper cables and tools, or hide a laptop.
Over the last couple of years, Dodge has been working hard on making their SUVs quiet, and the Nitro succeeds. 3. 7-liter engine is rather loud, but the Nitro material that absorbs the sound is muffled well.
Finally, the air conditioning might be fine in a normal day, but it seemed marginal to the heat.
Driving Impressions
Following long cruises in both the Dodge Nitro SLT 4WD and R / T 2WD, we prefer the R / T.
3. 7-liter engine in the SLT is slightly harsh and too slow, and four-speed automatic transmission needs another team, which toppled the SLT time 40 miles per hour, and not tearing down the tranny and the car felt Wimpy. The suspension is hit with a jolt, especially at lower speeds and mostly in the front wheels. And when he turned off the stability control and drove it aggressively around a hairpin bend, the front wash as bad as anything I've felt in a long time, Goodyear Wrangler tires. This was surprising, because the Nitro is a rear wheel design of the unit.
The R / T costs about $ 2,700 more, but it def. worthwhile. It is best played over the upholstery of the same color as the body, although the 20 "wheels chrome are a bit expensive (like a $ 1,405 option on the SLT, pity you can not get 17 -" the size of the R / T and save the money.) Chrysler R / T models are considered higher performance, but in this case is not hot-rod high performance.
4. 0-liter V6 is a new single overhead cam engine. It is rated at 260 horsepower, 50 more than the engine of the SLT, and offers 265 lb.-ft. of torque at 4200 rpm. That's a lot of horsepower and torque, and can not say that the R / T really feels like you have a lot.
The R / T engine is quieter than the 3. 7-liter in the SLT, and it gets almost the same mileage: 17 city and 21 highway in 2WD, with 89 octane recommended but 87 acceptable. We have 16. 7 mpg driving the R / T very hard.
The five-speed automatic transmission makes a difference in smoothness over the 4-speed. However, in manual mode, it does so. Responds to a change by the driver (at least this driver) about half the time. As a result, spending on roads is unnecessarily dangerous. The upshifts near redline (6000 rpm) and a bit slow. And the exchange rate mechanism is not comfortable either.
The operation of the R / T is reasonable, and more direct than the SLT, quality tires help a lot. But the ride is much better, in this 2WD model. In theory, the R / T tuned suspension should be firm much more, and surely is a better vehicle overall, but also much more comfortable.
Summary
The Nitro is the first mid-size SUV from Dodge, and has all the Dodge character. It is built on the same platform as the Jeep Liberty, and it really feels superior to its volume, thanks in large part to a high beltline, the high seating position and glass So instead of sheet metal at the corners rear. It is not easy to make a modern look and Nitro SUV does it well. Mechanically, it is stimied by 3. 7-liter engine and four-speed automatic transmission in the SXT and SLT models, the most popular models.

Bmw 330i 2006 Car Review
I have to disclose in advance that I have an old 3-series BMW, so I'm quite aware of his abilities and disadvantages. And as many different types of car I drive, I am always happy to return to my baby. But when he got behind the wheel of the new 330i (Edmunds pricing at $ 39,184) I realized that this machine was a strong step in performance within a quarter of milla.En my first ride in the driver's seat, could not overcome the ergonomics of the steering wheel. Each coach has one, and I've handled a few unusual, but my hands never felt more comfortable than with this 330i. (Unfortunately, there was a direction with heating, while as the 7-series, and it was quite cold outside.) BMW mates then this leaflet with precise steering for a sedan car nivel.Los German car to avoid twisting low speeds the design of U.S. manufacturers, but offer a slower release, but softer, linear acceleration. And the silky 6-cylinder engine is particularly noticeable with a manual transmission this car. BMW finally added a sixth gear for manual transmission, and I say of late. My dad has 50,000 km and the gear still makes me look when I run through sixth gear - but unfortunately there are only 5 to be had. Since the 330i generates 255 horsepower, much more than I'm used to daily driving, I have to upgrade my radar.Sí detector, the grounds are spectacular car - engine, ride, handling (up to driving), but the electronic controls are a disappointment comic. Anyone who has driven this car has a story about the flashing light from one side to another and vice versa, in a vain attempt to turn them off. I know people in the area gave me a broad plaza, thinking it was a confused and lost driver. The turn signal lever not 'click' into place as the rest of the world has come to commonly expect turn signals for operation. With the 330i, you tap the signal to pass, and automatically flash three times and then shuts down. But you can hold the bar a little more, and you get your normal action of the turn signal. But in a smooth curve, where the signal is not quenched, it is moving the other way off. But in the haste of the moment, if more than one movie, then you just tell their signals that are turning in the opposite direction. And this goes back
